The MTN MoMo code in South Sudan is *200# — per MTN South Sudan's own help pages and official channels ("Dial *200# to register"). The *155# repeated on aggregator sites has no official source we could find. MoMo here is young: the Bank of South Sudan formally recognised mobile money as payment in July 2025. What is different in South Sudan
South Sudan is MTN's newest MoMo frontier: the "Mata Fekir" adoption campaign launched in August 2025, an Onafriq partnership opened inbound remittances in May 2025, and the central bank's July 2025 recognition gave mobile money formal legal footing. Documentation is thin — which is exactly why aggregator codes like *155# spread unchecked.

Forgot your MoMo PIN in South Sudan?
MTN South Sudan publishes no PIN-reset procedure yet — the *200# menu carries the account options, and beyond that the route is MTN customer care or a service point with your ID. As everywhere: no MTN agent ever needs your PIN to help you.
*200# not working?
Wrong SIM. The code only answers on the MTN South Sudan network. On another operator's SIM it fails or opens a different service — every country and operator has its own code.
Roaming (abroad). Most roaming partner networks do not relay USSD sessions: the code fails or times out outside the country. Use the MoMo app over data/Wi-Fi. To send from Europe to a MoMo wallet, MoMo Homeland is an app — there is no diaspora USSD code.
Account not registered. A MoMo wallet must be registered (with ID) before the menu accepts transactions. If the menu opens but blocks you, visit a MTN South Sudan service centre with your ID.
