Fee data last verified June 2026. Always confirm with your provider before large transactions.

🎉 PI-SPI (BCEAO): since 30 September 2025, a person-to-person send is instant and free from one connected institution to another — from one mobile-money network to another, or to a bank — across the 8 UEMOA countries, including Senegal. The condition: both institutions must be connected, which is expanding week by week. How it works →

What are the withdrawal fees in Senegal?

Good news in Senegal: withdrawal is FREE on both Wave and Orange Money — you pay nothing to cash out. Free Money charges about 1% (to verify). It's the send and deposit legs that carry the fee: Orange 0.8% (cap 4,500 FCFA), Wave 1% (cap 5,000 FCFA).

Wave vs Orange Money in Senegal: which is cheaper? (2026)

It's a price war: Orange Money hit back at Wave by cutting its send fee to 0.8% (cap 4,500 FCFA), under Wave's 1% (announced 22 November). Both offer free withdrawal. So on a pure send, Orange is now the cheaper one; Wave stays dead-simple (app, QR) and free to receive. With withdrawal free on both sides, the only gap is on the send: 0.8% vs 1%.
