How the flow works

Each wallet's main USSD menu has a Pay Bank option. Select the destination bank, enter the recipient's bank account number, enter the TSh amount, confirm PIN. The wallet SMS confirms the debit; the bank's SMS confirms the credit. Both are needed to support a dispute.

All values verified June 2026. Operator tariffs cross-checked against Vodacom Tanzania, Yas / Mixx by Yas, Airtel Tanzania and Halotel published sources; review cadence is quarterly.

Frequently asked questions

Is wallet-to-bank instant?
On most major partners (CRDB, NMB, Equity, Stanbic, Standard Chartered, Exim) yes — credit posts in seconds. Smaller banks may settle within an hour or end-of-day.
Which is cheaper: wallet-to-bank or withdraw + deposit?
On amounts above TSh 100,000 wallet-to-bank is almost always cheaper — you pay one operator fee instead of withdraw + cash-handle + deposit-at-bank chain.
