Mobile Money Withdrawal Levy

Tanzania charges a tiered government levy on cash withdrawals at agents and ATMs only — TZS 10 to TZS 4,000 per transaction, capped at TZS 4,000. P2P sends are levy-free since the original 2021 levy on transfers was eliminated. Note: operator fees are also subject to 10% excise duty and 18% VAT.
