Orange Money limits: daily caps and how to raise them

The limit reference people usually piece together from Instagram screenshots — here, structured and sourced. The Europe app tiers, the per-country daily caps, and the KYC path to a higher limit. Where a figure is only circulating on social media and not on Orange's own page, we flag it.

What are the Orange Money limits in Europe?

TierTransfer limitBalance cap
Partial subscription~€450 (entry) per operation / day / month€450 – €1,000
Full subscriptionUp to €1,000 / operation / day; under €3,000 / month€5,000

Deposits are capped at 4 operations/day on both tiers. A note on terminology: screenshots circulating online call the entry tier a "compte Light" and attribute a change to 1 May 2026 — but Orange's own term is "souscription partielle", and the official effective date on its current tariff sheet and terms is 9 April 2026, not 1 May (the 1 May date is the promo start, not a limits change). We could not confirm a distinct 1 May 2026 plafond change on any official page.

How do you raise the Orange Money limit?

On the Europe app it is automatic — you do not submit a request. orangemoney.fr states it "regularly checks your eligibility for higher limits" based on your usage history and the ID already on file, and moves you from partial to full subscription when you qualify, notifying you in-app. In an African market, completing full KYC (valid ID) with an Orange agent lifts your tier there.

Why is my Orange Money transfer blocked?

The most common reason is a limit: you have hit the per-operation, daily or monthly cap for your tier, or the recipient's balance would exceed their own balance cap. Other frequent causes are an incomplete KYC (still on partial subscription), the daily deposit count (4/day) being reached, or a security hold on an unusual transaction. Splitting the amount across days, or upgrading your tier, resolves the limit case; for a security hold, contact Orange through the official app — this page is informational and not Orange support.
