FCFA10,000 is a common mid-size amount in Cameroon — roughly a week's shopping in Douala. Cameroon (CEMAC zone) runs on MTN MoMo and Orange Money, in the euro-pegged CFA franc.

A 0.2% mobile-money tax sits on top of the operator fee; with two dominant players the tariff moves little and agent coverage decides. At 0.70% effective, this is where comparing providers pays most — the relative gap between cheapest and priciest is wide around here.

At FCFA10,000, this amount falls in a pricing band where a percentage fee (1%) applies at the reference provider. The next band starts at FCFA50,001, where pricing changes — worth knowing if your amount is near that threshold. Keeping money on the wallet to pay avoids any cash-out fee.
